I am a Certified Canadian Counsellor through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (also known as the CCPA; my license number 10009058). I have a Master’s in Counselling Psychology, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology. I approach my work with you from a strength based, identity-affirming perspective (examples of identify include, but are not limited to, disability, gender, sexuality, religion, or culture). My counselling work blends Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with other evidence-based therapeutic modalities. I enjoy working from this eclectic model, which allows me to tailor a range of proven therapeutic techniques to your unique needs, experiences, goals, and abilities.

My counselling office is a place to heal from trauma, learn to live with chronic pain or injury, and to engage in self-care - and it’s a place to grow, reconnect with yourself, and build a life that feels meaningful on your own terms.

I work with clients from all walks of life, and welcome individual clients who are in early adulthood (21+) to late adulthood (70+). Seeing clients from a wide range of backgrounds and ages adds depth and perspective to the way in which I approach our work together.

I can help you with: - anxiety and/or depression - the pain of being misunderstood or mistreated - the daily challenges of living with chronic pain, injury, or disability - medical trauma - creating a work life balance - discovering more about yourself - increasing or maintaining mental health - life transitions - caregiving dynamics & parenting - shifting relationships - rebuilding identity & hope after loss.

I am passionate about equipping people who have chronic pain, a health condition, or a recent injury with the tools they need to live a vibrant life that balances their medical needs with a full life. As someone who lives with chronic pain, I bring both clinical expertise and personal understanding to the work we do together.

You deserve therapy that validates your experience and gently encourages you to heal & grow. That’s why I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other approaches to help you manage emotions, build self-compassion, and reconnect with what matters – while also honouring your own unique pace of personal growth.

I provide a mix of in-person and virtual appointments. In-person sessions are held in a fully accessible space in downtown Kamloops. Virtual sessions are available throughout Canada, via Jane App’s secure video platform.

Therapeutic Approaches:

I often utilize a range of tools from a variety of therapeutic approaches; the approach I use most often is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

When working with clients with a physical condition or disability, therapeutic tools or activities are carefully chosen in conjunction with the client to ensure accommodations are met.
